A PATH TO
BLACK BELT
Teenagers build practical skills through a clear progression that develops maturity, commitment and the confidence to work safely with others.
Stage 01 · Building foundationsJuniors beginners class
Students learn how to breakfall safely if they are attacked and how to adopt a suitable defence should they find themselves on the ground.
Junior beginner grades start with Red belt and progress to Orange Belt black stripe. When students demonstrate that they are ready to grade to full Orange belt, they are promoted to the Black Belt Club.
Stage 02 · Developing masteryJuniors Black Belt Club
This class is for students who have progressed through the grading programme, reached full Orange belt and demonstrated the maturity and commitment needed to pursue the ultimate goal of Black Belt.
Students work in pairs and learn exciting self-defence techniques involving throwing, grappling and striking. The syllabus is designed especially for juniors, helping them progress towards junior Black Belt and eventually move into the senior adult class.
