Development pathway
LEVELS THAT BUILD EXPERIENCE
Level 1 introduced instructors and assistants to the core requirements. The more advanced Level 2 involved a portfolio of evidence, regular workshops and assessment while teaching students at the instructor’s own club.

Professional standards
SAFETY BEYOND THE SYLLABUS
Professor Steve McDade holds Level 2 certification for coaching adults and children. Principal instructors also renew St John Ambulance first-aid training every three years, while MASA membership supports a professional training environment.
